the bush hides where they join the prosthetic to the body- it always looks stupid....we survived for 100 years of film and 60+ years of TV without showing much/any dick, so they can get around it- I'd rather not see it if it's fake. I think they think it's cutting edge/cool to have frontal males after so long forcing the women to be nude and covering up the guys- now it's pay back or something.

I have wondered this often. I'd venture a guess that traditionally most film makers have been heterosexual males and so the "desire" to see male nudity isn't there as much as it is to see female nudity.
Also, society still very much judges men by the size of their cocks, this site is full of examples of that. So, unless an actor is really self-confident and/or hung I think many just avoid it.
